ABOUT MYSELF

For years, my life centered around my husband and daughters. I am grateful for my loving ‘big fat family’ and friends. Watching my mother battle breast cancer left me feeling helpless and powerless. It was a difficult emotional journey that made me realize the uncertainty of life. I turned inward and rediscovered my passions, wondering if they could add more dimensions to my life. Music is like a prism that reveals a spectrum of colors from a single white light ray. The heavenly 12 swars were born when the Pranav Omkar passed through an unseen sound prism, and their unique relationships with different words create a distinct reflection. As a child, I was loved to listen to both Indian and Western music through my grandfather’s vast collection of vinyl records. Listening to the soulful melodies of Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Shrinivas Khale, as well as the iconic soundtracks of Chariots of Fire and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Throughout my life, the embodiment of music has been beautifully captured in the persona of ‘Asha Tai,’ shaping my definition since those early days. My music is always encouraged and supported by my loving “big fat” family and friends, for which I am grateful.
